The hostel itself and the staff are nice, but if you’re looking for a young backpacker vibe, I’d book somewhere else. Most of the guests were men in their late 30s/early 40s and my friend and I were the only women in our mixed dorm. If you’re a solo female definitely book in the female dorm. It also definitely has a party hostel vibe.

Great place,great staff, spacious rooms, lots of cool hanging spots to be either by yourself or to socialize. The place itself is around 10 minutes walking from the center, which for me was an adventage because it is both quite a short walk to the beach of nightlife, but still is quiet and surrounded by jungle.
