Property Description
The hostel focuses on the environment and fair trade. All garbage is recycled. Our values are joy, sustainability and honesty. The hostel offers simple, tidy, rooms with good beds. Bathroom facilities are shared. Linens and towels are provided.
The accommodation is located centrally next to the Egilsstadir camping site and information center. In addition, from our facilities you can reach some of the finest attractions of the city such as East Iceland Heritage Museum, the Fardagafoss and many other natural attractions that you can explore in our area.
We have several types of accommodation options, both shared dorms and private rooms. Guests and travellers have access to a fully equipped kitchen and can relax in the guest rooms. Free WiFi is provided. In addition, breakfast can be ordered for an extra price not included in the room fee, it’s includes local delicacies. A good café and bar is in the Tehusid Hostel.

Has a great vibe. The Bar/ coffee shop is really cute with different artifacts . Regret not spending more time in this hostel . I would give it 10 out of 5 stars.

The staff and the owner were so friendly and went the extra mile (or two) to help me and my friends out. Couldn’t recommend this hostel more highly.
Great atmosphere, arty old fashioned and easy going. We had a great standup music night on Saturday evening. Top class singing.

We only stayed at this hostel for one night. It was 3 of us in a private room. The room was very nice, clean and roomy. The facilities were nice and had everything we needed in the kitchen, commons area, etc. We slept well and it was quiet in the hostel by 9 PM or so. Everything was as we hoped for. There weren't any amazing views, or special amenities that we thought were great, but everything was well organized and very good.
