Property Description

Selina Oaxaca is in the heart of Oaxaca, right near some of the best attractions in the city. A whole new way to stay. Whether you’re a digital nomad, family on vacation or adventurous backpacker, you’ve come to the right place.

Oaxaca is defined by its tree-shaded streets, authentic foodie scene, and intensely beautiful cultural heritage. This colorful destination offers top-class museums, archaeological sites, markets you can get lost in, and wide-open plazas where you can listen to music while you catch your breath. Refuel with some of the best tacos and mezcal in Mexico before diving back into the bohemian bar scene and seriously photogenic street art!
Oaxaca has it all: nearby ruins make for great hiking and nature tours. The city’s colonial past leads to interesting art, culture, museums, and tours. There aren’t enough hours in the day to see – and taste – everything Oaxaca has to offer.

Stay in our dormitories, standard, deluxe, or private rooms. Selina’s dorms are not like you’d find in your typical hostel. We set the standard at a whole new level with a seating area, your own light, a personal shelf and locker for each bunk bed to keep your things secure. Bathrooms are shared. Classic Selina design and attention to detail make our dorms and range of private rooms relaxing for everyone.

The dorms offer very little privacy, each bunk does not even have a curtain so whenever anyone gets up early or goes to bed late the whole dorm is woken up. The dorm did not seem to be properly cleaned in between guests either. The room didn’t have enough shelves and hooks for every single person so keeping your stuff neat is a pain. Otherwise the communal areas were quite nice and the location was great.

Was only there for one night. It was okay! The dorm beds were squeaky with no curtains. The yoga class in the morning was fun though (but hard if you don’t speak Spanish

Great location in the centre of town, easy to walk everywhere. The rooftop restaurant is good vibes. Our bathroom smelt awful - such a strong odour from the drain, and the dorm was quite dark with hardly any natural light. There was a communal kitchen but you weren’t allowed to eat your food on the rooftop and there wasn’t a dining room so was a bit awkward as to where to eat your meals. More of a hotel than a hostel - definitely not an environment where you could interact with other travellers.
