Hostel very well located in the centre of Albufeira, 2 minutes walk from the beaches of Peneco and Fishermen. It is where everything happens, but in a quiet area with shops and restaurants in front of the Hostel and a supermarket 50 meters away.
The Son of a Beach Hostel has four shared rooms with Bunks where all beds have their own light, individual lockable drawers and shared bathroom with bath or shower. And two suites with private bathroom.

Small kitchen. Nice lounge area. Dining tables were always dirty, could be wiped down every so often. Bathroom for the female side dorm was usually not that clean and the tub is broken floor and always flooding due to too much sand. Could be better maintained and upgrade the shower. Security was great, doors were always locked and I liked the storage space under the beds

Locked drawer was able to be broken into, losing my friend €350… ants were most places. But great staff and great environment, super close to the beach. Great value for the money

you have to walk through the office to get from the rooms to the rest of the hostel which was always a little awkward. small hostel. nice terrace. close to everything in Old Town.
