La Escondida is located in Puerto Escondido Downtown, next door to Puerto Dreams Hostel.
Enjoy your private room with its own A/C and private bathroom, and relax on its cozy common areas surrounded by a beautiful garden.
In addition, we have several common areas where guests can exchange past experiences and future plans. With internal access to Puerto Dreams Hostel, you can enjoy our fine Cafeteria and Co-work space, designated for people that want to work and enjoy Puerto Escondido.
We are located near to some of the finest attractions and landmarks of our area such as Playa Carrizalillo and Playa Coral. We are just a few steps from Mercado Benito Juarez and several local places on our street where you can eat Mexican food or buy the cheapest and most delicious fruits and vegetables. Get your own free bike with basket to go around.

Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival, unless non-refundable rate was paid, or deposit was made.
Check in 3:00 PM.
Check out before 12:00 PM.
Reception open:
Sunday - Monday: 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM
Tuesday to Saturday: 24 Hours.
Taxes included.
General:
No curfew.
Pet friendly - But clean its mess.
The maximum period of stay is 30 days, then we can work something out.

Great hostel! I loved the location in an area that is not touristy at all. Whether you want to work, relax, read or socialize, there's a common area for it. The town's prettiest beach is walkable. Laundry service is close, and they'll deliver to the hostel. The dinner-only restaurant across the street turned out to be my favorite in town. There are plenty of evening activities. The volunteers are friendly, even to a guest more than twice their age. I loved this place!

I was booked to stay here for a week, and the end didn't feel comfortable. Can't comment on the facilities really as i didnt stay.
It all depends what you're after - seems like a party hostel. I was advised to keep any 'help for the party' on me at the hostel when checking in. Fair enough, people party. Combined with not having locks on the room door or more than a very small locker - requires own padlock - I didn't feel comfortable being here as a female solo who is not planning to party.

Great overall experience. The facilities are great, the staff is welcoming and helpful, the pricing is great, and the location is a great starting point from where you can then branch out to locations such as the beach, La Punta, or mercado. Thank you, La Escondida!
