Simple Lodge & Hostel is a small-town business with hosts who live on-site. The lodge is a home away from home for travelers from all around the world and all walks of life. It is the most affordable lodging in Historic Downtown Salida and by far the most fun.
We offer a large community space where guests meet, share meals, and play games together. There is a range of room options for adventurers and families traveling on a budget. Located just one block from Riverside Park, Simple Lodge and Hostel is a short walk away from all downtown amenities. We offer laundry for a small fee and free bike storage on a secured patio. Nature is our first love, and that is ever-present in the hostel. What's more, we do it right. We are striving to become Salida's first eco-lodging option. We enjoy entertaining our guests and offering a welcoming experience. The lodge is a home away from home for budget-minded travelers from around the world.
Simple Lodge & Hostel Policy and Condition:
Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 16:00 to 19:00 .
Check out from 00:00 to 11:00 .
Payment upon arrival by credit cards, debit cards.
Taxes not included - 9.80%
Taxes not included - occupancy tax 4.88 USD per person per night

Nice little hostel but shared room was incredibly cramped, with 8 people in a small room with little space for bags/belongings and no where to lock valuables.
Very few bathrooms/showers.
Good, well equipped kitchen.
Great location, in walking distance to everything you’d need.
Staff lacked energy.

Great little hostel and lodge! It had everything we needed for our short stay in Salida. The owner was wonderful and the place itself was clean and quiet for a great nights rest. I would definitely stay here again!

Great hostel and reasonable price. The staff were nice and it had everything we needed. Appreciate the small touches like loaner clothing section and good kitchen organization!
