Iguana Azul is Copans first hostel opened in 1995. Centrally located + just 4 blocks from the center of the village. We offer 4 private rooms + 2 dorm rooms. Also a 250 sq ft Scandinavian inspired private studio apartment w/ 1 full bed in loft, private bath, mini kitchen, color tv, sofa + all amenities + a private entrance. The hostel offers shared, hot water showers + toilets - all sparkling clean! Daily maid service in all rooms. Free purified water, common refrigerator, common sitting area, wifi, garden sitting area, book exchange, bulletin board. Sturdy beds w/ comfy mattresses. We sell shuttle tickets + shuttles pick up at our hostel.

Nice place to stay in Copan. The AirCon especially was fantastic, and there's lots of information and help provided in the entrance area.

Basic facilities- no kitchen and no decent socialising area for people to chat. It's super clean though and ceiling fans are great. They need to replace the roof tiles though, it was stormy and water dripped through! Place feels a bit neglected and has seen better days. Casa de café is next door and does delicious food and drink!

We loved our time at Iguana Azul. The WiFi works well. There’s no kitchen, but still really nice that there’s access to a fridge and drinking water. The showers are amazing! The staff are really kind and answered all our questions. The hostel is a few blocks away from the center of town, which we preferred since it was more quiet. The whole town is really walkable.
