Tunido is a modern and spacious hostel that was resurrected from an old colonial-style house located in the Historic Center of Colombia’s oldest city, Santa Marta. Our aim is to create a relaxed atmosphere for travellers. The kitchen is not available for guest (Breakfast is an additional charge, you can get local lunch for cheap in Santa Marta, enjoy a delicious dinner at the Hostel)
Tunido is located in the Historic Center behind Iglesia San Francisco, Santa Marta’s oldest church, just a few blocks away from Parque de los Novios, the city’s main Cathedral, the beach and port, museums and the most famous bars and restaurants. Public busses to Minca, Tayrona, Palomino and Riohacha are only a few minutes away on foot. Taganga, Rodadero, Bahia Concha and Playa Blanca are easily reachable by public bus as well.
All dorm rooms have air-conditioning, plugs, lockers, private lights, windows. The 4-people dorm has an en suite bathroom.All private rooms have windows, a ceiling fan, a private bathroom, air conditioning, a lock on the door.

Check out before 11:00.
Payment upon arrival by cash.

Overall I did not enjoy staying in this property. Felt the surrounding area was unsafe, especially for a solo traveller. the lock on the bedroom door did not feel secure and the private shower had no temperaturetemperature control and the water flow was weak. Really enjoyed the food and cocktail. The staff were kind and friendly.

A fine place to stay. I did find the noise from the staff a bit ridiculous, in the day they spent hours blasting K Pop so it was impossible to relax. This is not a party hostel so there was no need.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Minca. The hostel is beautifully decorated, and very clean. The room had great air-con and a fan, which was much appreciated! There’s wifi in the shared area, but we had none in our room on the first floor. Also, just to note for planning, on the website check-in is described as 12pm, and we had an email confirming 12pm, but check-in was actually 2pm. Unfortunately, some of the staff were unfriendly/unhelpful, but other than that the hostel was lovely:)
