Karandi Hostel is the perfect place for nature lovers and those looking for an authentic Costarican place. Recently open, it was built with techniques and materials that allow a better interaction with the environment. Comfort in our rooms was the goal, while visitiing the Tropical Rainforest.
Located in the proximities of the Marino Ballena National Park and just 2 km away from Uvita, we offer mixed and female only dorms. All with a lavatory, terrace with garden views and shared bathroom. We introduce the concept of retractible beds in the zone, making possible to increase dorm size and turning rooms private. Spacious gardens, shared kitchen and a small forest we call: Reserva Karandi in which you can spot +200 birds species, mammals and multicolor insects.
Even when the area´s main attraction is whale´s sighting, there are multiple options, some of them at walking distance from Karandi. Beaches, waterfalls, rivers and many more, come and enjoy of one of the most biodiverse places in the Planet. Pura vida!!!

Really lovely, well run hostel close to the beach. Great chill vibe and was amazing to watch the wildlife in the garden in the mornings.

Favourite hostel I've ever stayed in. Really nice to have a balcony for each room and the lighting and space in each dormitory makes it feel much more homely than most. The staff were so kind and you could tell they enjoyed their job and pointing out wildlife in the gardens. Also really appreciated the kitchen being open air which made it a very nice inviting place for people to sit together and chat.

the hostel was pretty good. nice and clean rooms and the kitchen had what needed. Most people kept to themselves and those who talked spoke in German. its in a walking distance to uvita beach, but i think you need a car for everything else.
