I was appalled when 8 days before I was due to check in, I received a cancellation from the hotel - with no reason and no concern. I had booked the hotel for the Dreamforce week - clinically the BIGGEST week in San Francisco and paid a deposit upfront. Obviously on receiving the cancellation, it was impossible to find an alternative hotel room at an affordable price - and ended up with a dorm bed in a hostel. Disgusting treatment of a paying guest - my assumption is that money drove action

I'll start with the positive. The room was clean. Overpriced for the location however. After the crackhead kindly held the door open for us on the way in, we then considered accepting the Xanax offered to us on our walk through the Tenderloin on the way to the hotel. I stayed up until 1am watching the crack dealer on the street below, and hoping the motorcyclistists riding down the sidewalk didn't kill anyone. I hope the lone gunshot we heard was just a warning shot for a meth deal gone wrong.
