Newly opened Beach Break Surf Hostel located in the beautiful surf city of Weligama, offering a good night sleep in eight or ten bed dorms. (Women-only dorms available.)
The hostel is located in the centre of Weligama and is within a two minute walk from the main surf beach. The neighborhood is full of restaurants, cafes and chilled places to hang out at. Don't worry about transportation, all the important places can be reached by foot. A supermarket is just down the street, and the railway station and main bus station are just a seven minute walk away from the hostel.
To ensure you have the best time staying with us, all the dorms are equipped with ventilators, mosquito nets and lockers and are being kept tidy and clean.
Come meet other travelers from all over the world, hang out with our super friendly staff or just lean back and relax. If you are more adventurous, we also have a selection of activities for you in and around Weligama.
Our restaurant on the 3rd floor , which will offer homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner to affordable prices and a 360° Sea and Jungle view. It's perfect to watch the sunset and enjoy a cold beer after a nice surf session.
We also run a surf school & rental close by. Our professional instructors are welcoming beginners as well as advanced surfers. Prices are cheap and we are happy to provide package deals.

1. Cancellation policy: At least 1 days advance notice for free cancellation. 7 days free cancellation for groups of 9 people or bigger.
2. Check in from 12:00 noon to 21:00
3. Check out before 11:00.
4. Payment upon arrival only by cash.
5. No Smoking in the rooms, but allowed in the smoking areas.
6. Age restriction: YES, 12 years+.
7. Reception working hours 09:00-21:00.

We really enjoyed our time in the hostel: the best part of the experience is the cleanliness, friendship of the staff, perfect position for the beach and the food, and the surf lessons! Very nice and big rooftop with hammocks and bar.
The rooms have all the comforts and many fans available. The guy at the reception is very helpful giving advices and suggestions.
The only downside is the noise during the night coming from the busy street.
Overall great experience, definitely recommended!!!

This place has the potential to be awesome but just isnt. The showers are gross, cold water with just a curtain separating you from the next person showering. The lockers dont lock properly and the doors are always open. It's hot in the rooms and there are like 5 fans running all night. I got bitten numerous times by mosquitoes despite the nets. The saving grace is the roof terrace and tasty food from upstairs.

Rooms quite dark and mould around the ceiling. The water was off for a full night while we stayed. Lots of fans so cool enough to sleep. Nice rooftop bar.
