Our popular on-site Japanese restaurant is a hit with guests, please make sure you book just in case Keiko is having time off. We have an extensive English and Japanese library, plus DVDs available for the days you'd rather stay in.
Skiers love the ski tune up room and drying room, and we can arrange transfers to nearby fields. Our team can advise on where to go bouldering around Castle Hill, have climbing mats for rental and even a mini climbing wall to practice on!

Generous sized room with large, comfortable bed. Kitchen was smallish but functional and suited our needs. Nice comfortable living room with smart TV. Quirky building with interesting features. Helpful staff who recommended places for us to visit on our way to Tekapo which made our drive much more interesting. Best of all there is a hostel cat named Günther who is very cute and friendly. Would stay here again.

Nice, clean and warm hostel with friendly staff with great knowledge of the area.
Ask them anything about the surrounding mountains and ski fields.
Conveniently located close to the Club Ski Fields on the way to Arthur's Pass.
Highly recommended.
