One of the oldest women's NGO's in Malaysia, YWCA KL (Young Womens' Christian Association of Kuala Lumpur) has been providing safe and affordable accommodation and developmental programs for young women in the heart of KL city since 1953.
Nestled in a tranquil historical district surrounded by other heritage institutions such as Stadium Chin Woo, Stadium Negara, Victoria Institution, KL Wesley Church and many more, yet easily accessible to vibrant KLCC and Bukit Bintang via the adjacent Merdeka MRT Station and walking distance from amenities and culturally vibrant places of interest such as Chinatown, Dataran Merdeka and Central Market - YWCA KL is ideal for both short-term and long-term stays. Proceeds from projects and accommodation go towards ongoing humanitarian projects and activities of the organisation.

Downstairs there is a vintage cafe. A special feature of your stay is exclusive access on Friday afternoons to creative studios also located in the heritage building, where you may chat to the resident artists & entrepreneurs about their work and various aspects of Malaysian culture and history.

As I have arrived there at 3 am after my flight, the stuff there told me that they couldn’t find my booking so they told me, a 27 year old woman at 3 AM to go look for another hotel, I’m Scotty where I have never been, at a location that didn’t look nice. Tried to contact website as well, but so far no answer. Really disappointed!!!

Great location cos walking distance to 3 different subway lines - one is right next to YWCA. Also walking distance to Chinatown - there's enough great food (cafes and hawker) there to explore daily. The private room is great - retains the wooden flooring, high ceilings, and spaciousness of the old 1950s building. The atmosphere of the shared toilet is so-so, reminds me a bit of public toilets, cramped and a little dim - but it's fully functional and clean. The cafe isn't currently operating.
