Beehive Hostel offers a terrace.The Beehive is a newly constructed earthquake safe guesthouse located in a quiet area of Kathmandu and a 5 minute walk to the tourist district of Thamel. We offer single, double, triple rooms with/without private bathroom and shower to small individual rooms at prices comparable to staying in dormitory type rooms. The Beehive is perfect for those travelers on a budget.
The rooms are clean and alot of lights. There is lot of outside sitting areas as well as roof top also with nice city view. We have restaurant that serves local cuisine as well as indians and other international dishes.

1. Check-in time: from after 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm
2. Check-out time: before 12:00 pm
3. Reception hour: 24 Hrs
4. Payment: Cash and Credit Card, but extra Charge for credit card service fee
5. Cancellation policy:
You can cancel the booking free of charge 1 day before you arrival. In the event of late cancellation/no Show,you will be charged first night by accommodation
6. This hostel does not accommodate children.
7. No smoking in Room, but have smoking area.
8. Pets are not allowed
9. Beehive restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well hot and cold drinks.

I booked a private room with shared bathroom, but when I arrived they were all full. They had a room with private bathroom available which I thought they would give me since they had double booked, but they wanted me to pay extra which I didn’t do. Instead they offered me an empty dorm, but said that there could be guests arriving later. I tried to explain that then it’s not a private room but it took a lot of effort to make them let me stay in that room alone. Very unprofessional.

Excellent place to stay! Clean facilities, water available, friendly owners and staff, close to everything and a great price. Would 100% recommend.

Good if you want a cheap private room. Great location, quiet and close to tourist bus stop. Not particularly clean and the showers were cold, although that might have been me not working it properly. Main drawback is no comfortable communal areas to read or talk, just a few old uncomfortable chairs to sit on
