Property Description
Hoppy Alpaca is hostel with an on-site brewery located in the peaceful town of Cotacachi, Ecuador. A place to chill, relax, work remotely or simply enjoy beautiful mountain views, while recharging. It is an ideal place to meet other beer loving travelers.
There are beautiful views of the Imbabura and Cotacachi volcanos from within the property, especially from the second floor in the early mornings you can see both peaks. There is a yard with tables and seating area over grass, lots of plants, a chill out room with a smart TV and Netflix, plus lots of books and board games.
The hostel has a solar powered water system so hot showers are always available. Our tall shower heads are perfect for people of all heights. We also have comfortable memory foam mattress.
Three dogs and three cats all rescued from the streets. Location is convenient, only 10 min walk to main parks, tourist shops and main streets.

Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 12:00 to 23:00 .
Check out before 12:00 .
Payment upon arrival by cash.

I can highly recommend a stay at Hoppy Alpaca. I felt very safe and relaxed the whole time and I particularly enjoyed the complimentary beer from the onsite brewery and the breakfast (included), all for such an incredible price! Roger and Malena (and Gandalf the dog) were brilliant hosts and I will definitely be staying again when I return to Cotacachi.

Truly a great place to stay. Conveniently located just a few blocks from the city square in the very quaint small town of Cotacachi. The room was clean with plenty of hot water (a luxury here in Ecuador) and the hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating. Very highly recommended!
