Hitchhikers is a brand new hostel run by a local in Leh. You can expect clean rooms, safe lockers, decent parking area, friendly and helpful staff, homely food, peaceful surroundings, and a fun environment with board games, free wifi, TV etc.

The rooftop has an amazing view of the Himalayas during the day and serves for exciting stargazing through our 6' f8 Dobsonian Telescope at night. We also provide full assistance in organizing your whole itinerary including bike/cycle rentals, hiking, sightseeing tours etc.

1. Cancellation policy: 3 days before arrival.
2. Check in from 9:00 to 23:00.
3. Check out before 9:00 noon.
4. Payment upon arrival by cash only.
5. Reception working hours: 24*7.
6. No age restriction.
7. Taxes included.
8. Breakfast included.
9. No pets.
10. For the room below 7500 INR per night, there will be 12% taxes applied; for room over 7500 INR per night, there will be extra 18% taxes fee applied.

Best place ever. The owner is truly helpful and kind. We love our time in Leh and much of it has to do with the hostel. The only thing that was not perfect was how clean the bathroom was. Still it is ok. The food was great, the beds as well and above all the good disposition of everyone to make you feel good with the plans you have.

One of the best kept hostels I have ever stayed at. The hostel is beautiful and extemely well taken care of. Staff is welcoming and kind and Tashi the owner is very knowledgeable about Ladakh and its culture. He also helped me arrange my trip to Nubra Valley for a very fair price and has also taken us on a trip to Alchi monastery. Was only planning to stay for a few days, but kept extending my stay. Hot water, very clean and close to all main attractions!

Really hostel, not too far away from the market - can just get a bus for 10RPS. I stayed during off season as it was reallly cold and as it was a new build there was no heating so the place was freeeezing, but nothing extra layers and a spare duvet didn't solve! Staff super lovely and hard working. Basic breakfast but still tasty.
