At Leo hostel, we take pride in our welcoming atmosphere and outstanding sporting facilities.
If you love sports, you are at the right place.
Take a break from all the distractions in the world and focus on what's really important: sports, friends, and beers! We are conveniently located only 5 minutes drive from the main pier, locally famous night food markets, and only 100 meters away from the beach!
Although our hostel's name may suggest beer is a lifestyle for us (some might agree), we are actually proud to own the first 7-a-side (7 v 7) astro-turf football (soccer) field on the island, which is sponsored by Leo (hence the name). We play organised football games almost every evening, which is a great way of making new friends and staying healthy. But don't get upset when we beat you 7-0 ;)
Our other sporting facilities, which are all free to use for guests, include:
- Badminton
- Soccer pitch 2vs2
- Outdoor gym
- 2 Pool Tables
- 2 Ping Pong Tables
- Table Football
- 2 brand new padel courts
Even more exciting news is that within the next couple of months, we will be opening a brand new tennis court and a jiu-jitsu dojo, where our guests will be able to receive discounted packages.
Leo hostel offers more than just sports to cater to your vacation needs. We have a beautiful swimming pool and plenty of space to lay in the sun. Our space is designed with lounging in mind, from chairs and tables to small nooks to escape. Our Oasis restaurant is being refurbished by a talented Italian pastry chef with plenty of treats in mind. We project live sports, Netflix movies and PlayStation games on a large screen to enhance your experience.
We are extremely proud of our restaurant, which is open 24/7. Our customers often describe the food at our hostel as the best hostel food they have ever encountered. Our chefs and bartenders work tirelessly to provide you with the best food and drinks money can buy on a budget. We want you to enjoy your time here, not drain your purse!
We have an amazing set of multilingual staff who are able to speak English, French, Thai, Dutch, Spanish and Burmese, fluently. They will always do their best to help with any situation you may have. They love to chat and give you advice on what to do on the island and even a few secret locations only the locals know, as well as where else to travel in Thailand.
We also offer extra services to make your trip even better: Motorbike & Jeep Rental, Laundry, Travel Agency, Towel & Padlock Rental and Tours & Daytrips. As well as discounted tickets for most of the major parties and events on the island!

- Office is open every day from 9 AM until 9 PM
- Check in time: 2 pm - 9pm & check out time: 11 am
Regarding bookings OUTSIDE the full moon period:
- The payment will be required in cash only on your arrival. We don't take credit card payments.
Regarding bookings FOR the Full Moon period AND Half Moon Parties
- We HIGHLY recommend you book 3 days before the Full Moon Party to enjoy all the major parties such as Waterfall Party, Jungle Experience and so on.
- Once we have received your booking, please contact us for the payment details. ***(Pre-payment is required) ***
- It is your responsability to contact us to arrange the pre payment.
Please note that if we do not receive your payment (Regarding bookings FOR the full moon period), we have the right to cancel the booking at any time.
No Prepayment = No Confirmed Booking! No Show = No Refund! Once the payment is done, there will not be any refund! We are NOT a drug-friendly Hostel. You can get s*faced all you want, all day, every day, but on the legal stuff only. Anyone found with drugs will be asked to leave.
As our sister hostel is a Party Hostel, we cannot accept bookings for anyone under the age of 18. Please be aware that there may be music playing often and people drinking all day! So, if this is sounds like it wouldn't be for you, please contact us and we will help find you alternate accommodation.
- Due to our high demand, make sure to book in advance to secure your stay.
- During our busiest time, we may be over booked. In this rarely case, the customers would be sleeping to our sister hostel which is just next door. The rooms are as good as ours! And everyone can enjoy the best of both hostels!

Stayed here over full moon, the hostel ran out of water so the showers, sinks and toilets didn’t work and when asked about it reception told us that it’s because their water tanks were empty and management had forgotten to order water. Beds and bathrooms were not very clean, stains everywhere and smelled weird. Leo hostel and Arena hostel are the same place so I can see why Arena is rated so low, wouldn’t stay here again.

It's a pure party hostel.
Full of fake people that are all posers.
Although friendly don't make any deals with the Staff to attend some extra event/party they will overcharge and underdeliver.
On Budha day they organised a Private Party as the sale of alcohol is not allowed. They charged 1000 BHAT guaranteed that we would get 10 drinks. We arrived at 10 the party ended at 11 and we just drank 2 drinks then they said it's over. I spent more than a month in Thailand this was the worst experience.
