I spent 5 nights here and it was quiet since it was the off season. Papa Noel, the owner, is a great host who knows a lot about the area and was happy to show me his culture. There is a good coffee shop nearby, and Pia's Poppies, which is a nearby hotel and restaurant, is a good place to go in the evenings for dinner, a drink, or to socialize with other tourists. I would love to come back to Toraja during the holiday season and stay here again.

The owner is very helpful and can arrange everything for you, from motorcycle rental to a guide to getting a bus ticket. When I arrived at 6am from the night bus he even let me sleep on his sofa since my room is not yet ready. He was truly in the hospitality business and not just running a hostel.
The rate also includes a breakfast of sweets and powdered coffee or tea.
The place is clean, though the bathroom is a bit tight and the water pressure weak.
