The Village Melbourne's Terms & Conditions:
- Cancellation Policy: 24-hrs before arrival. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to cost of the first night of your booking.
- A valid Passport with a current WHV/Tourist Visa, and credit card under your name must be presented on check-in.
- Check-in from 2pm
- Check-out by 11am
- Payment must be made upon or prior to checking in (the property may charge your card prior to arrival)
- 2% surcharge applies on all EFTPOS and credit card transactions.
- Taxes included
General:
- Reception hours: 24-hrs
- Maximum stay: 14 days
- 18+ age restriction
- While we make the greatest effort to place all guests of a group booking into the same room, this is not always possible. To avoid having a group split up, book well in advance, or reach out to us via email to confirm.
- We cannot guarantee the same room for the duration of your stay, as existing bookings may make this impossible.
- No refund policy: Payments made towards all bookings can only be reimbursed in the form of booking credit for any nights cancelled. Exceptions may be made for pre-charged bookings that honour the relevant cancellation policy (not inclusive during Christmas/New Year period).
SPECIAL EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Christmas/New Years: No check-in or check-out on 25th, 26th, 31st December and 1st January. All bookings through the Christmas or New Year period will be charged in full on 1st December. Declined payment will result in cancellation of the reservation.

It’ll do if you’re looking for cheap accommodation in central Melbourne.
Staff are nice and it can be social if you join the events downstairs.
Very unclean. We stayed in an 18 bed dorm and there was one small bathroom to share. We stayed for a week and saw it get cleaned once. No disinfectant was used just a power wash. The kitchen was also very dirty, again ‘cleaned’ but no disinfectant used. Big space but the fridges stank and food was not put in bags/ off.

People were having a long loud conversation at 2am right outside of my room. I nicely asked them keep the voice down, twice. But I was ignored. I called the help for over 30 min. no one answered. The people stayed in my room came home at 5am after a long night of drinking … the door was slammed , and the light went on.
The molding on the ceiling smells pretty bad. I didn’t sleep for the entire stay. On the weekend the music played real loud at the lobby and people are smoking / yelling
