BOOK1 Design Hostel offers a unique hostel experience that challenges the notion of a typical hostel and raises the bar for the hostel category altogether. The former main library in Aarhus next to the recreational park, Mølleparken, has been transformed into a unique design hostel with a view to the iconic rainbow at ARoS.
As a guest, you will meet a cool lobby bar, sauna, 14 lane minigolf and be able to have breakfast in an interesting food court. You stay in either shared bunk dorms or pod dorms, known from luxury capsule hotels in Japan, or in private doubles or private hostel suites. BOOK1 Design Hostel is a place to be ‘private together’. If you stay in a bunk dorm or pod dorm, you create a private zone by pulling a curtain to the side of the bed. Contrastingly, if you are looking for social life and a vibrant atmosphere, the lounge area, social different social areas and the lobby bar are perfect places to seek to. There is a lively feeling and cool events planned throughout the year.
The food court is where you find the organic breakfast ‘Good Morning. It’s Organic!’ and for your evening cravings, we are serving up a fusion of authentic Mexican and Asian street food - prepped by our chef with fresh local ingredients. You get delish bowls to indulge in with homemade dips and your own choice of protein topping from Korean beef to Mexican chili and Filipino BBQ pork.
With unique interior designs and custom-made furniture that match the building’s original architecture and elements, BOOK1 Design Hostel offers a unique design experience for both locals and overnight guests. BOOK1 Design Hostel is in the centre of Aarhus next to the ARoS art museum, gastronomic taste sensations, vibrant city life and a host of experiences just around the corner.

Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival.
In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in after 15:00.
Check out before 11:00.
Payment will be charged to credit card 48h prior to arrival when booking our flexible price products,
For the non refundable price products, the credit card provided will be charged once the reservation is made.

I haven't stayed at a great many hostels in my life, but this one was by far the best. The check-in / out processes are smooth, the pod-beds are very large and comfortable with a power socket and small shelf and a large degree of privacy and you have a locker assigned to your key card that also gets you into the lodging portions of the hostel. Its a rowdy place though, with a very fun 18 hole mini golf course that's always busy and a popular bar / food area [which are great].

Great hostel! Close by to the main attractions in Aarhus (Den Gamle By, Aros Art museum), 15 min walk to bus/train station, lots of social space with food and a bar. Loved having curtains in the beds, I like that the lockers lock with your key card, wish I got a chance to inquire about the sauna room 🤔 Overall, great hostel (they played bangers the whole time too in common spaces). ONLY thing I’d say is the light timers are pretty short but nbd. Thank you BOOK1!
