Our hostel nestled in the heart of Amman and looks over the bustling city with panoramic views. Our aim has been to create a home away from home for anyone coming to Amman, hoping to give a true taste of Jordanian hospitality for every guest. At the hostel you can enjoy sitting on our large terrace, taking in the 180 degree views as the call for prayer echoes off the many hills that Amman is built on. Or join us in the living room where everyone comes together to chat and share stories surrounded by handmade crafts.
When you’re not at the hostel we are only 2 minutes from the Downtown and we would be glad to recommend the best places for you to visit. Whether it be to learn more about Amman (one of one of the oldest cities in the world), or where to try authentic Jordanian cuisine.
When city life starts to get under your skin we can help advise you on day trips to Jerash, Madaba or the Dead Sea where there are plenty of different price options and deals. And of course for your onward journey to Petra, Wadi Rum or Israel/Palestine we can help so that you have the smoothest journey possible.

Our hostel provides a 24-hour front desk, a shared kitchen and currency exchange for guests.
The shared bathrooms are equipped with a bidet and a hairdryer.
Guest rooms at Carob Hostel include air conditioner, desk, seats, clean bed sheets, comfortable mattresses, plugs for every bed and also curtains on each dorm bed for your privacy.
A daily fresh Jordanian breakfast is available at the accommodation often described as "the best breakfast in Jordan". Don't miss out!
Cancellation policy: 24 hours before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged for the first night of your stay.

Staff were amazing and very helpful-always up for a have of darts or table tennis too! The building itself- like the restaurant and lounge area are beautiful and really sets the atmosphere. Rooms are nice. only thing I would say is that I stsyed in both a female and mixed dorm- the female only form being significantly more expensive but I actually way preferred the mixed dorm- it was cleaner- more space and just overall a nicer room and are- there's even a female only toilet in the corridor.

Awesome property, great location and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast made by the hostel staff.
I booked a tour from this hostel, it was cheaper than what others paid for in our trip and it’s all inclusive, I highly recommend booking in advance to try and attract other travellers to make it cheaper.

excellent and friendly staff. Great location just a short walk from downtown, it is up a big hill but that is true literally everywhere in Amman and this is very central. I felt really safe in this area and in the hostel. the staff did their best to connect us up to other travellers for day trips and for making plans which was extremely helpful. socially it was slightly quiet but this seemed to be the trend across hostels in Jordan, and there was definitely always people to chat to
