Optimi Rooms is located in downtown Bilbao, 10 minutes away from Moyua Square (on foot), in the heart of Indautxu district. This hostel has been designed with an outmost detailed esthetic, composed by vanguard materials which offer a minimalistic and futuristic look, with metallic hallways in glistening white; as well as a structure of geometrical forms that twist and bend along the walls and ceilings, mimicking the effect of the total blackness cracking through the purity of these panels. Nice experience. The cabins themselves were really comfy. Unfortunately the cabins are put so close together that you hear every cough and feel every movement from the person who has a cabin next to you. It would be nice to have walls inbetween.

Literally everything was dirty and broken. When you come down the front stairs you're welcomed by a dirty kitchen and a gross couch. All the wall/ ceiling panels have black in between them and there is tape to fix stuff everywhere.
The locker was okay, but if you have electronic locks it would be good if they work reliably or else just use regular locks.
The bed was fine, but the capsule was dirty (especially at the sliding door), the locking mechanism looks very cheap and could be left out.

To start with, the staff was a delight, really welcoming and helpful, special mention to Dani who helped out on several occassions with a warm smile!
Regarding the facilities, I am not that delighted. The idea is great but not properly executed in my opinion, and misses some maintenance. The beds are way too soft, the panels of the pods are missing some functionalities, some buttons don't work and are poorly covered with a tape, and the connection is faulty when using the usb port or the regular socket. I
