Weird experience from the word go. The hostel had no record of my booking. Room was dark and smelly with no natural light and one working lightbulb of four. Two showers but when both in use only one is warm. The communal area for cooking also appears to be used by the homeowners (and is being used constantly by them). The dining table is in their living room. Noise from about 5am on. The vibe is off and it seems like you are a hassle to the property owners by staying there! Cheap but that’s all

The online check-in time isn’t the same in person. We arrived expecting to be able to check in at 11 but had to wait till afternoon. The communal areas were very messy, with children’s toys scattered all over the floor, and dirty pots across the kitchen. The designated hours to use the kitchen are 7am-10pm but even then we told we couldn’t use it. We even had to pay extra for the gas we used whilst cooking. The owners use all the space and seem to be annoyed you’re even there. Weird experience.
