Live In Leaf Hostel is a home away from home, where you will be treated like family from the moment you arrive. The hostel is run by four sisters and is located a 5-minute walk from Sairee Beach. At Live In Leaf we aim to bring together people from all over the world by hosting barbecues, playing pool, sharing a beer with new friends and having the best atmosphere of any hostel on the island.

Our rooms all have brand new beds, shared bathrooms, personal lockers and include free toast and coffee tea You can also choose from fan or air-con rooms to fit your budget! In our common area we have plenty of indoor and outdoor space to hang out with new friends and enjoy a few beers with music in the evenings.

Upon request we also offer Thai cooking classes for our guests and can help you to organize diving, snorkeling, travel arrangements and more! While staying at Live In Leaf please accept our invitation to experience our paradise island and become part of our family.

2) Check out Before 12:00
3) Reception working hours: 10 am to 5 pm
4) Payment on Arrival: Cash only.
5) Cancellation or amendment must be made 2 days in advance prior to arrival.
6) Breakfast is not included.
7) NO smoking in Room, but have smoking area.

On sunday we asked for tickets from Koh Tao to Bangkok on the next thursday. The receptionist said she would call the company later and ask for the tickets Later that day we asked if they had made a reservation, she said yes but the booking code for the hostel would be there later.... okay fine. Come thursday we find a note in front of the door saying the boat was fully booked, we should take a night ferry. She didn't even try to organise something, just sent us to the pier, we can do it alone.

The hostel looks lovely, really nice layout and the room I was in had a private bathroom. However, the beds are all right next to each other so you're basically sharing a bed with your neighbor, no curtains for privacy. There was no storage inside the room but there were lockers outside, there is no space under the beds either. The room was clean enough but there were ants everywhere. The staff were kind enough to wait past check in time for me to arrive.

We weren't a fan of this hostel and security was definitely an issue with it being in the middle of nowhere and poorly lit. We saw one other person the whole time we were there which didn't make us feel safe at all. We weren't told what facilities were available (such as tea and coffee as advertised). The room didn't have AC and the electricity frequently cut out during the night so the fan didn't work and it was boiling. This place has so much potential as the facilities were nice and clean.
