Our Pods feature comfortable mattresses, interior lights, outlets for computer and phone chargers, lockers and privacy curtains. All rooms are equipped with AC units for your comfort. Shared rooms of 6 pods with Private Bathroom, and Shared rooms of 6 with Shared Bathrooms.
We?re located in the heart of Santa Teresa, Playa del Carmen. 100 meters South of Super Costa and 75 meters East. It?s easy to find us, but hard to leave. Our goal is to provide our guests with an amazing, unforgettable experience. Our staff is friendly and wants only to facilitate your stay in this beautiful country, and particularly in the magic Santa Teresa, a legendary destination for surfers, youth, families and nature lovers. We offer practical, economical yet comfortable accommodations.

In order to confirm your reservation, Payment of the first night is required, via bank transfer or Paypal.
Please leave your contact information, as the property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 2:00 P.M to 19:00 P.M.
Check out 10:00 A.M
Payment upon arrival by cash, deducting any down payment you may have made.
Taxes not included - 13.00%
Breakfast not included - 5 USD per person per day.
Reception Hours 8:00 A.M. to 20::00 P.M.
No curfew.
We do not accept customers younger than 18 years old years of age.

Air conditionate is only from 8PM till 8AM.
We provide lockers to secure your valuables and belongings, therefore the establishment does not take responsibility for any theft, lost or stolen items.

Room smelt of wet towels & damp, wasn’t v pleasant + doors are super loud. But i did see the cleaners cleaning all day so not sure why..
The staff member i spoke to was nice but not v helpful. This place said it had some sort of travel advice facility but she couldnt even tell me where i could get surf lessons, nor how to get to Tortuga island or Manuel Antonio.. but she did book me a shuttle.
Also she helped me cancel my final night but didn’t tell me i couldnt get a refund.. Not the vibe..

Had a great time at Akih pods. Social atmosphere with a great hang out area and kitchen facilities - met so many lovely people. The hostel team were really helpful and Rafa went above and beyond for us! Rooms are small but everything you needed - only thing to improve would be to keep the AC on until 9am rather than 8am! Good location in town and very easy access to the beautiful beach. Would definitely stay here again.
