I had a very nice private room for a good price on the top floor. It's on a busy street but in a very safe neighborhood. Cesar was a great host: He's fluent in Spanish and English and he'll tell you anything you need to know about Ica and any other place in Peru.

The owner was super nice and let us shower on arrival before check in. Felt really safe and the twin room was nice a quiet so had a good nights sleep. The kitchen was basic and had no frying pan so didn’t use it in the end but that was the only negative. It’s also close to a shopping centre and gym which was useful.

This hostel is v basic but you can’t argue with the price. Everything is quite dated and there is absolutely zero atmosphere but it works for a night before or after a tour in Huacachina. It’s also about a 10min walk from the bus terminal and has a decent kitchen. Ica is a pretty dead area though so if you have a few extra quid I’d recommend spending the night in Huacachina by the lake.
