Our hostel is in a secure and pretty village which attracts backpackers from all over the world. We are only three blocks from the beach Ipanema and in easy reach of a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops.

One staff member is lovely, helpful and full of advice about things to do. The other is rude and obsessed with barking orders about recycling bins rather than treating his guests with appropriate gratitude.

This is a really great hostel especially for solo travellers, super friendly staff with lots of knowledge about the area and Rio in general and because it’s small a really lovely friendly vibe 100% recommend

This hostel is a must if you’re staying in Rio! Everyone I met, including myself, extended their stay or found their way back to visit again. I stayed in the solo room with the garden and hammock balcony, it was gorgeous. As a solo woman traveler who usually opts for the 12 persons type dorms, choosing to splurge a little to have this little upstairs nature nook all to myself was totally worth it for quiet morning coffees overlooking the city and evening journal writing. Even saw marmosets! (:
