Live Free Hostel is situated close to the famous Assi Ghat. You can witness the heartwarming sunrise/sunset Aarti, take a breathtaking boat ride on the River Ganges or take a leisurely walk along the ghats; Assi ghat has it all.
Live Free aims to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible so that we as well as Varanasi can also sweep you off your feet. Our hostel has a variety of rooms to choose from suiting all sorts of budgets from dorms to private rooms. Common spaces are the heart of our hostel, especially our rooftop cafe which has spectacular 180 deg. view of the River Ganga.

1. Cancellation policy: 2 days before arrival.
2. Check in from 12:00 to 23:00.
3. Check out before 10:00 noon.
4. Payment upon arrival by cash. Credit card is accepted.
5. Reception working hours 09:00-23:00.
6. No age restriction.
7. Taxes not included. GST will be charged as per government rule. 1000-7499 INR, 12% tax; over 7500 INR, 18% tax.
8. Breakfast not included.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at live free. The rooms are clean and hygenic. The very first when I visited Banaras I stayed here and that was an awesome experience. Till date whenever I visit Banaras, I stay here only. Great food, jovial staff, great ambience, walking distance from ghats, it’s the best place to stay.

The hostel has a good common area and location. But the dorms are less ventilated with small fans and low mobile network. Even the wifi signal is very low in the dorms. Lockers are there but you have to use your own lock.
Most importantly they charged me more than what was shown in my booking though website
