Maverick Hostel and Ensuites is located in a beautiful historic building in central Budapest, within walking distance of the city’s most popular sights and best bars. They offer free coffee and Wi-Fi and often host free tastings of Hungarian wine and pálinka. Hostelworld visitors have said they’d definitely recommend this hostel to friends because the experience is ‘like staying in your own apartment’. We like that there’s an elevator and a kitchen on each floor.

Beautiful place with such a good price! Location, staff and lockers were great. Stayed in all-female room and everyone were so nice and respective of each other. Only downside I can think of was that you could here the sounds of the traffic quite clearly in the room.

Such a fantastic place to stay. Incredibly well located, really helpful and friendly staff, and the rooms are great too. They've got free luggage storage after you check out, and there are events most evenings. I can highly recommend the wine tasting. Definitely one if, if not the best hostel in Budapest

Una de las cosas que nos hace especiales es que tenemos degustaciones de Fröccs y Palinka grauitas los miércoles y los sábados. Son las dos bebidas alcohólicas tradicionales de Hungría. Fröccs es una mezcla de vino con soda y Palinka es un aguardiente elaborado con fruta al 100%. Estos eventos ayudan a nuestros huéspedes a conocerse entre ellos y también a nosotros, porque siempre está organizado por un miembro del personal.
También somos muy afortunados con respecto a nuestra ubicación; Básicamente, se puede llegar andando a casi todos los monumentos principales. En general, recomiendo que la gente visite la zona del castillo, no sólo porque es bonito en sí mismo, sino también porque hay una increíble vista de la ciudad desde allí. También recomiendo las excursiones a las cuevas, que la mayoría de nuestros clientes no suelen conocer. Budapest tiene uno de los mayores sistemas de cuevas y galerías subterráneas de todo el mundo. Durante los recorridos te dan ropa protectora y un casco ya que hay que escalar por pequeños agujeros, un ambiente surrealista.
La mayoría de nuestros clientes tienen entre 20 y 40 años, pero debido a que nuestras habitaciones dobles son bastante buenas a veces alojamos a huéspedes más mayores.
