This is a perfect place. So incredibly beautiful, with amazing people, including Ricardo, the owner. I only spent 3 nights here but cried leaving. Ricardo’s mission is to protect this slice of paradise, so definitely come, but make sure to leave no trace, and bring your respect for the environment! Ricardo does his own boat/float tours of the river, their restaurant is amazing, you can snorkel and swim and hike; and a trip to Corcovado for tapirs is also incredible!

If you’re heading to drake bay for wildlife, simplicity and some chill out time, don’t look any further, just book. This is an incredible place with the most lovely people who put your experience first. I booked a dorm but as they had space, made the effort to give individual rooms. There were so many surprises here from the moment i arrived and everyone who was at the hostel when i was there ended up at least doubling the amount of time they spent there. A really special place!!

Owner and the chef were super friendly and amazing people. peaceful location in jungle direct beach access. You must pay a boat to bring you from drakes or hike 10km on jungle trail to get there. hostel charges more for meals than in Drakes, and they also charge to use the kitchen since it’s difficult for them to bring in gas canisters. Some of the guests would walk 1.5 hours to get groceries and then pay $25 for a quad bike to shuttle them back. Would stay again but plan accordingly!
