The Joy Hostel aims to connect the world to Brazil's capital city and its local culture. It's a place to meet people, share experiences and build bonds of friendship. We're located in the heart of Brasilia, in Asa Norte. The hostel combines the security and convenience of traditional hotels with the relaxation and affordable prices of hostels. There are 24 rooms, between private and shared, with a maximum capacity for 108 guests. The hostel has a large living area, with books, TV, sofas and beanbags, where guests can relax, chat, and even watch a good movie.
The Joy Hostel has a super team staff of bilingual and knowledgeable locals who are prepared to serve all guests with care and attention, and guarantee the best experience in Brasilia. It's perfect for backpackers as well as for those who are passing through for work, attending conferences, or participating in one of the various cultural events hosted in the city.

I thought Joy Hostel was a nice chill place. It had everything you needed. My only complaint is that the mattresses are extremely uncomfortable (more like gym mats).

the exterior and reception area of this hostel is lovely but that's about as much as i liked. the room i was given was small and stuffy, and there was a beam going across the ceiling of my bed which meant i couldn't sit up. the plug and bedlight also didn't work, nor did the bunk below mine. there are lots of flies in the showers and no hooks to hang your clothes in the cubicles. i left a day early because i was so uncomfortable there.
