We located on main road GC-200, from the road you can see gate with name of our restaurant - 'GRILL RESTAURANT EL ALBERCON' and RTE SUN TERRAZA. Aslo you can find us on google - ' Restaurante La Ganania '
Green Hostel is a place for outdoor and natural minded people. Located on the main street of La Aldea de San Nicolas with good public transport connection we have a green oasis. We have huge cactus garden with beautiful animals such as peakokks, liitle pigs, rabbits. We grow eco vegetables.
Hostel located 5 minutes from the beach by car. Hiking trail to GüiGüi - 'The mythical beach of Gran Canaria' starts just around the corner.
The rooms are designed in a simple Canarian style with high ceilings and interesting interior details. For those who want to spend time in silence, we have rooms a little distant from the main building. Also we have a camping places.
We have chilling zone under huge old tree, where we chill - lax and if you want you can order a well-fed and healthy breakfast in our restaurant . Here we always have eco vegetables and fruits for you at the best price on the island.
Green Hostel Policy and Condition:
Cancellation Policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 15:00 to 22:00
Check out before 11:00
Payment upon arrival by cash

The staff was relatively friendly but I wouldn’t say I felt comfortable or even properly welcomed by the hosts ( except for the waitress).
There were lots of animals around which was actually very nice. On the way to the room you have to go through a messy and not very clean open garage like space. Restaurant, garage area, bedsheets and bathroom were not sanitary. My tortilla was not nice.
I had two dogs chase me and try to bite me as I was getting something from my room later that night.

I had an amazing experience at this hostel. I was greeted with a welcome drink and a dog named Daddy and immediately knew this was the place for me. The owner, Johannes, is a friendly, fun German man. I made some friends hitching and me, Johannes, my friends, and the animals sat around drinking beers. And when Johannes wanted to sleep, he sold us a bottle of wine. If you don’t have a car, hitching is easy bus buses are infrequent. I never write reviews but this place is worth my time.

I do recommend staying here!
People is great!
We have a double room, it is basic but it has clean bedsheets and clean towels.
Bathroom is shared so similar quality/cleanliness than in other hostels: could be better but it is not bad either.
Food in the restaurant has a quite fair price, abundant and tasty tasty. Most of the food is from their farm (try it!)
There are animals around. I love that, because I love them but you have to know that. They are not in the room, just common areas.
