Pintler's Portal Hostel

PPH offers boutique accommodation for those who value adventure, affordability and community. A welcoming lobby and cozy fire welcome guests. Eleven bedrooms with dormitory-style accommodations sleep from 1-4 per room with 38 beds total. Oversized unisex showers and lavatories are adjacent to the dormitory rooms, with one ADA accessible bedroom and one private bathroom (transfer shower). Guests share a magnificent lounge with another fireplace, flat screen TV and dining area with an oversized kitchen where culinary skills flourish. Play the piano or guitar in our music corner, or have meetings and classes in our classroom. An outdoor seating area promises pleasant BBQ’s and conversations.

Pintler’s Portal Hostel (PPH) is located in Anaconda, MT, a Gateway Community to the Continental Divide Trail and 10 miles from the Transamerica Bikeway. Anaconda is located at the base of the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness Area, and it is the home of Montana Zipline Adventures, the Old Works Golf Course and the Washoe Theatre. It is 15 minutes from Georgetown Lake and 20 from Discovery Ski Area and 25 kilometers of groomed Nordic skiing. Drive carefully on the way up as you’re likely to encounter Moose and Big Horn Sheep.

Anaconda is small, warm and lively. Cherished life-timers and young professionals and families thrive here. Hikers, bikers, runners, skiers, climbers, golfers and families flock here. Annual events – softball tournaments, 10K runs, Art in the Park, ski races, mountain bike races – attract visitors from all over the country. Restaurants, brewery, and niche shopping is available within walking distance of the Hostel. Inside PPH is 5518, a Montana based company offering in-house designed apparel, local gifts and outdoor essentials.

Cancellation policy: 72 hours before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the full amount of your stay.

Check in from 15:00 to 20:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .
Earlier check ins and later check outs available for a fee. Contact property for detail.

Taxes not included - 4% Montana Lodging Sales Tax & 4% Montana Lodging Facility Use tax for 8% total

Stays are limited to 7 nights per guest. However, stays longer than 7 days will require a private room rental.

When you make your reservation, we will charge your credit card and mark it as a confirmed reservation. Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. Unless we have had other communications, the reservation will no longer be guaranteed after 10 p.m. of the first day and the room may be reassigned. You will still be charged the amount of your stay. Should you choose to cancel your reservation, a confirmation email will be sent.

Cancellation Policy
Life happens. We get that. Reservations on bed-only and private room rentals are fully refundable 3 days prior to the check-in date. Reservations on full-facility rentals are fully refundable 30-days prior to the reservation date.


Room Service
We have worked hard to create an accommodation that saves you money and provides you an unique and comfortable experience. The price you pay relies heavily on your cooperation and consideration. Please note, we are a hostel, and to maintain these prices, we do not provide room service.

Your Bed
Unless you rented the entire room, you have rented one (1) bed for the night in a dormitory style room. There may be up to 4 people in your room. Please be respectful of your and others’ belongings, using use half the space under the double bunks and saving the other half for whoever might rent the bed above or below you. Please do not store or place your items on any of the other beds in the room. Another guest may come in at any time and may have that bed reserved for themselves. Should you need extra space to repack, we invite you to use the long table in the Spike Camp, which we maintain for that purpose.
If you find you need and want more space, you can always rent a private room.

Towels and Linens
To maintain our price point, we provide each guest one set of towels (towel, hand towel, and wash cloth) every three days. Extra sets are available at any time for a $1 fee. Guests get one set of sheets per 7-day reservations. Extra sets within that time are available for a $10 fee.

Parking Policy
Parking in front of our building features an ADA and several additional spots. There are three angled spots located in back of the building. There is ample street and public parking on adjacent streets, and we have paid parking available. Please respect our neighboring businesses, and do not park in their parking spaces at any time.

Pet Policy
We love your pets, we just don't allow them in the building and cannot accommodate them at the Hostel.

Smoking Policy
Breathe easy. PPH is strictly a non-smoking property inside and outside. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic systems, including vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes or e-cigs), e-pipes, and any variations of the same regardless of the product’s name. Any smoking in the building or lingering smoking scents may result in a fine of up to $500 and a request to find other accommodations. There will be no refunds.

Alcohol Policy
You are welcome to bring your own beverage and enjoy in moderation the property. We maintain a strict quiet time policy of 10 PM - 7 AM.
No illicit drugs are allowed on or used on the facility.
Guests, inebriated by any means, will be asked to leave.

ADA Policy
Pintler's Portal Hostel is ADA Compliant, offering one accessible parking spot, one guest room with a single or twin bunk depending on your preference, and an accessible bathroom and shower. ADA clients receive one complimentary load of laundry (we will wash and dry in a bag designed for that purpose; you will do your own folding). Unfortunately, our kitchen and lounge area are located downstairs to which there is not wheelchair access.

Children
We adore your children - and our own! However, Pintler's Portal Hostel is designed for traveling adults. We can accommodate children under 18 if you rent the entire room in which you will be staying, and as long as there is one bed for each individual in the room (no one sleeping on the floor and no sleeping double). Should you want to make such a reservation, please confirm with PPH.
