Welcome to Honu Waikiki by ALOH, the perfect place for social backpackers who are looking for a friendly, laid-back atmosphere with more privacy then a standard hostel in Oahu, Hawaii.

There are no strangers here, only friends you haven't met! To us, travelling is about so much more than seeing places, it's also about the people you meet and the memories you make. To make it easier to meet your fellow travelers, we organize daily activities.

Our helpful, international staff are ready to help you with everything from planning your day to showing you a taste of the local nightlife. Whether you want some recommendations, or simply want to chill out and unwind over a few beers or a bottle of wine! We are seasoned travelers from all over the world who have found a home in Hawaii, ready to share our local knowledge!

Beach...Beach...Beach:

Luckily for you, we are a short walk from the Hilton Hawaiian village and beach which is where the free fireworks are held every Friday!!!

Room Type:

We are currently offering fully private vacation rental style units with en-suite bathrooms, all rooms are fitted with air-conditioners in the bedrooms and ceiling fans in the living room. We offer two different types of room categories at this times, Two queen bedroom suites and the Family Suite which will have a bunkbed in the living area and queen bed in the bedroom.

Cleanliness is our priority!

We ensure that during your stay, all social areas are kept clean to maximize your comfort whilst your are on your travels. Room cleanings are before and after your stay similar to Airbnb's for all private rooms.

Our locally roasted Vanilla Macadamia Nut Kona Coffee blend in the mornings!

AC in all private rooms and Mix 2 rooms. (Mix 6 rooms do not have AC, have a ceiling fan)

Security:

Multiple smart locks at the main entrance, and unit entrance then keyed locks to get into each induvial room. Camera monitored parking, and outdoor common areas and hallways.

Self-Catering Kitchens
Our guest kitchen has all the things you need to cook a tasty feast! Open from 7am - 10pm

Laundry Room
Coin-operated washing machines are available at the hostel. 35-minute wash cycle and a 60 minute drying cycle, total to wash and dry is $4.00

Parking:

On site camera monitored parking is available $18 a night.

Quiet Hours:

We keep quiet hours in the hostel from 10:00pm each night out of respect for our neighbors, and guests who need an early night. However, there is always a nighttime activity for everyone who's keen for a drink, dance or night out in the city!

Rate:

Rate does not include state taxes, state taxes must be collected upon arrival.
2019: 17.96% taxes not included must be paid on arrival (The balance is subject to 13.25% State of Hawaii Transient Accommodation Tax and 4.712% General Exercise Tax) (The deposit and taxes you paid online are federal U.S taxes, all deposit related questions must be directed to Hostelworld support, as Hostelworld keeps all deposits)

Please note that room type requests are not guaranteed and are subject to availability and operational needs

Check in requirement:

- Check in time is from 2:00 PM and our reception desk is conveniently open till 11:00PM (Currently limited hours), 7 days a week.
- All guests must be 18 years or older to check in and must be between 18-45 years old upon check in for Dormitory Rooms
- When checking in, please prepare the following:

1. Valid Passport or Valid State Issued ID (must be between 18 - 45 years old upon check in for Dormitory Rooms)
2. Proof of recent arrival to the Island Of Oahu from the mainland US Or International origins or proof of departure
3. $150 Refundable room deposit, will be required upon check-in, card or cash and will be refunded upon check-out as long as no excessive cleaning is required or damages are found. (Refunds take 2 - 7 business days)

Cancellation Policy:

We only accept cancellations/changes via email. Please note that any cancellations/changes must be made at least 5 days prior to your scheduled arrival time, indicated upon booking. In case the arrival time was not indicated upon booking, any cancellations/changes must be made at least 5 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.

We charge the total of the first night for all cancellations made less than 5 days from arrival. In case of a no show, we will charge in full for the first two nights and cancel the reservations for the second night and thereafter.

There are no refunds after check-in.
And during all peak holidays, Christmas, New year's etc.
period (Dec 24th - Jan 2nd), all cancellations must be
made at least 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival time during this time period.
