Located right next to Mall Road, each room in The Hosteller Mussoorie Mini has a panoramic view of the valley. With 4 dorms and 4 private rooms, a game room and common areas full of energy - it is the ultimate escape from city life. Keeping a modern approach in mind, the space has been transformed to incorporate a dynamic design style. The spiral staircase connecting the floors, the wooden furniture with a Portuguese touch, spacious poster beds and the minimalistic conceptualisation make the hostel extremely unique.
A cute library area welcomes you as you enter. It is a heaven for all book lovers as it is filled with interesting books. Imagine sitting on those super-comfy chairs as you sip a cup of chai and lose yourself in the world of Ruskin Bond! Quite dreamy, right? Leave all your worries behind and let go of all stress as you join fellow travellers at this quiet and peaceful escape. Close to the town yet serene, this hostel is for all the writers, artists, creative souls and travel lovers who want to live their best mountain life.
The Hosteller is a chain of backpacker hostels and is well suited for young backpacking travellers. As a brand, we do not recommend families and do not allow all those below 18 years of age to stay with us, nor do we allow admission of kids or infants under 18 years old, even if travelling with legal guardians.
Kindly note that due to water pipeline construction work at Mall Road, all the roads are blocked (from both sides of Library Chowk as well as from picture palace).
4-wheelers and 2-wheelers are not allowed on Mall Road (private and yellow number plate).
If guests are coming in their own vehicle they will have to park it near the Library Chowk. There is a multi-level parking and comes downward around 100 Mtr. There is a sign board Padmini Niwas (it's an upward way) using which guests can easily reach TH Mussoorie Mall Road.

From Dehradun railway station take a cab/bus to Mussoorie library. Cab charges are Rs 350/- and the bus is Rs 70/-. From the library take a left turn, and there will be a board that says 'I Love Mussoorie'. Then come downwards via the Tibetan Market Gali, and there you reach The Hosteller Mussoorie Mini.

Kindly note that there is an inclined walk of 5 mins followed by approximately 50 stairs to reach the property.

Specific policies may apply to different hostels under the brand at specific times of the year and the same shall be communicated at the time of check-in.
The guest will be charged a prepayment of the total price at any time before the arrival date for the reservation confirmation, in case the guest fails to make the prepayment the reservation is subject to cancellation.
Payment modes accepted at our hostels: Cash, Debit card, Credit card and UPIs.
Room charges are exclusive of taxes. Taxes not included, for a room below 7500 INR per night, there will be 12% taxes applied; for a room over 7500 INR per night, there will be an extra 18% taxes fee applied.
The guest can avail of an extra mattress at the time of check-in. Extra mattress is subject to availability.
In case the traveller arrives earlier than the check-in time, the guest can hang out in the common area/cafe until check-in time. (However, if the guests are arriving as early as 5:30-6 AM, it is highly recommended to book a bed for the previous night to ensure a good night's sleep).
Late check-out can be available on prior request and is subject to availability.
Travellers can keep the luggage, post check out, at the hostel's cloakroom, in case of late departure from respective cities.
We cannot guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room in the case of 3 or 4 people travelling together. Allocation of a room in a specific private room category may vary depending on availability. That will strictly be subject to availability until the time of check-in.
We provide lockers in the dormitories only. Every bed has an attached locker for guests to keep their valuables. It is advised that you carry a lock for the locker if needed. However, availing a padlock from the reception will be subject to availability and at an additional cost. It is advised that you carry a lock.
Should any action by a guest be deemed inappropriate by the hostel or if any inappropriate behaviour is brought to the attention of the hostel, the hostel reserves the right to take action against the guest. Rest assured, proper investigations will be undertaken by the administration to ensure that the affair is dealt with in complete fairness.
All cancellations, if informed 7 days prior to the check-in date, shall be eligible for a 100% refund. In case cancellations happen within 7 days of the check-in date, there wouldn’t be ANY refund and will attract 100% cancellation charges. If the guest doesn’t show up they will be charged the total price of the reservation.
Non- Refundable bookings are not eligible for any refund in case of cancellation at any time.
If the guest wishes to extend their stay at any hostel then availing a reservation will be subject to availability.
The room would be provided at the ongoing rates on the website and not as per the rates at which the previous booking was made.
Hostel management shall not be held responsible for any loss of luggage or personal belongings. Guests shall make sure not to leave their belongings unattended at all times.
Cafe timings and availability differ from one location to another, the guests can refer our official website for the same.
Cafe operations are seasonal, the same can be confirmed with the hostel reception at the time of check-in.
The Hostellers Unbox cafe serves eggitarian as well as vegetarian options.
Meals aren’t included in the room tariff and it can be availed on a-la-carte basis at our in-house cafes.
To maintain the backpacking culture and community spirit we promote self service in all our cafes.
Guests can order & consume outside food in the designated dining areas and private rooms only.
Drugs/Substance/Alcohol abuse is STRICTLY prohibited at all our hostels. In case anyone is found possessing or consuming drugs/alcohol during their stay, strict action shall be taken against him/her and the person would be asked to vacate the hostel immediately and would be blacklisted from staying at our hostels forever.
All our hostels have dedicated smoking areas. Smoking inside the dorms is strictly prohibited.
The guest shall be deemed unfit to continue any further at any of our hostels in case of drug abuse, non-adherence of guest and booking policies, misbehavior (Physical/mental/verbal or in any kind), theft, personal hygiene, vandalism, trespassing, non-payment/delay in payment of dues, other guest inconveniences or any such unwarranted actions. In all such cases, the guest shall be asked to vacate the premises immediately without any refunds.

We had a great stay at the Hosteller!
Our room was spacious with a lovely room which was very clean. The bed was very comfy. Bathroom could do with a new shower curtain and freshen up but otherwise everything was great.
Staff were super friendly and the food at the cafe was delicious!
