Mad Monkey Downtown

Mad Monkey Downtown is a 2022 newly renovated hostel in the heart of Kings Cross. We offer FREE Wifi, FREE gym access & FREE Xbox in our common area. Our kitchen, TV room, rooftop and courtyard are set up for a social vibe. Guests can choose between private rooms or 4 bed dorms. All our dorms have privacy screens on the beds and a powerpoint to recharge your devices after a great day out in Sydney. All rooms have shared bathrooms and toilet facilities. All beds come with clean linen.

We organise FREE events & discounted tickets for pub crawl. We are surrounded by our sister hostels Mad Monkey Kings Cross & Mad Monkey Bayswater, make sure you go to the correct one! Our reception is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Please Note: Our reception is closed on the 25th December. You will not be able to check in or out on that date. Payment for all reservations made between 24th December & 2nd of January will be taken when the booking is made and are NON REFUNDABLE. If credit card is invalid or inefficient funds you have 72 hours to update your details otherwise your booking will be cancelled.

- Cancellations within 24 hours and no shows will be charged a cancellation fee equal to one night stay.
- If you cancel a Non-Refundable Rate you will still be charged the full amount of the booking, this can not be refunded or moved to a different date.
- We do not accept guests under the age of 18 years old in shared dormitory rooms.
- We do not accept guests over the age of 35 in shared dormitory rooms.
- We do not accept guests over the age of 39 in private dormitory rooms.
- Prices are quoted in AUD and are subject to change daily.
- Valid credit card (in the guests name) and a valid passport are required upon check in.
- If you have made a reservation through an (online) travel agency you must cancel or modify through the agency.
- The following payment methods are accepted; cash, credit or debit cards (Visa and MasterCard only). We do not accept American Express. All credit or debit cards incur a 1% payment fee.
- The guest will be responsible for any loss or damage caused at the hostel by guests or visitors of guests.
- $20 fee will be charged for the loss or non-return of any keys to reception upon check out.
- When booking multiple beds in a shared dorm, we cannot guarantee to put people on the same booking in the same room, however we will do our best.
- Guests may not consume or store food and drinks in their rooms. Any alcohol or food found in the rooms will be removed.
- Smoking is only permitted within the designated smoking areas.
