Also, a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor kitchenette are available to cook your own meals.
Our communal areas are perfect for meeting new people and making lifelong friends, while our private rooms offer a peaceful retreat for those who need some downtime.

It’s very clean, quiet, and the staff and volunteers are lovely. If that’s what you are looking for, then don’t hesitate to book. The only downsides are that the water pressure isn’t great and the kitchen is a little small.

I am not usually one to leave a review, but my overall experience at Freelance was amazing. I only stayed for 3 days and wish I booked longer! The team is so kind and helpful and helped me utilize the limited time I had in Tulum. If you are looking for quality accommodation at hostel prices, I would highly recommend it.

Freelance Hostel (4 nights)
- 6 bed dorm curtains on each bed
- Odd vibes staff were strange not very professional smoking no proper check in system the manger asked us how much money we owe
- No facilities just the beds
- Wifi was very poor
- Cooking facilities weren’t that good toaster didn’t work
- So so quiet no social life
- Paid 150 peos for s*** bikes no gears were very rusty weren’t road worthy
