Property Description
Las Cabanas De Mike is located on the hill above San Juan La Laguna. We have spectacular views of the mountains, lake, and the town below.
We have 3 cabins that are shared, dorm-style space, and a shared bathroom. There are spaces to sit around the garden and enjoy the ambiance and the view below. We have a breakfast menu and a dinner menu for our guests. We also have a small mini-store with snacks, fruits, vegetables, and drinks.
We have an outdoor kitchen, available at an extra cost to cover the gas, electricity, and cleaning.
Every Wednesday night from 6-10:30 we have an Open Mic and live music on our mirador patio.
These are hand-crafted cabins on the hill above San Juan La Laguna.
The climb to the cabins is worth the effort as the views are spectacular and the natural setting tranquil. If you need help with your luggage, you can ask your TukTuk driver if he would help with a tip.
Las Cabanas De Mike Policy and Conditions:
Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 14:00 to 11:00 .
Check out from 08:00 to 00:00 .
Payment upon arrival by cash and PayPal.
Taxes included.
Breakfast not included - 5.00 USD per person per day.

Mike was really nice and evidently made a great pizza. The price is reasonable and the view of San Juan is great. However, it's better to think of this place as a rustic ex-pat homestay than a hostel. There are gaps in the walls and doorways which invite a number of bugs into the room, while allowing every word spoken on the property to be heard from your hard spring mattress. Works in a pinch, but there are definitely opportunities to improve.

I loved staying here, its perfect if you’re a laidback person. Its like a treehouse up in the mountain with gorgeous views and super chill vibes. It’s a self service situation so you can kind of check yourself in. Theres also loads of cats and kittens so so cute

One of a kind. Really nice vibe where you feel at home. The owner Mike is very chill and creates a relaxed atmosphere. We booked two nights and ended up staying for four. Be prepared for some steep steps on the way up but its worth it for the tranquility and views. Great homebase to visit the different towns of Lake Atitlan.
