Filikur Hostel is located near (250 mt), Filikur beach, an amazing public beach with spectacular color and clear water; one of the best beaches on the Albanian coast.
We are also very near Potam beach ( 200 mt ) and 1700 mt from the center of Himare. In the 2 floor building are 4 rooms and 1 meeting room. Rooms A & B have 5 beds, Room C has 11 beds, and Room D has 8 beds. On the balcony, there are also 2 beds. All 5 Rooms are equipped with air-conditioner and a bathroom . Bar on site. Free parking.
The garden is 15 000 m2 full of olives, oranges, lemons, and grapes, among others.

Had al snel door dat dit niet mijn hostel is. De ligging is wat ongunstig, je moet een flinke heuvel beklimmen om er te komen. Dit zorgt echter wel voor een mooi uitzicht met zonsondergang.
Verder vond ik het hostel in alles een beetje viezig. Tafels waren vies, douchegordijn zat veel schimmel in. Heb drie van de vier nachten gecanceld na aankomst. Ik heb niet veel comfort nodig in een hostel, maar dit was onvoldoende naar mijn mening.

I loved my stay at Filikur hostel so much I extended another 2 nights, however the facilities are quite horrendous, the bathrooms smell really bad, you finish your shower feeling dirtier, my only saving grace was the outdoor shower which was beautiful as you could overlook all of Himare. Miguel is the best hostel manager out there, he does his absolute best to run the place (there are volunteers however they don’t know too much) and he often goes out of his way to get things done for you!

Amazing hostel, staff help foster a great atmosphere, very easy to extend your stay, amazing location once you get up the hill with all your stuff. Very worth it!
