Welcome to Mendihuaca Beach!
At the very beginning of Sierra Nevada, located between sea and tropical forest, come experiencing life in this little paradise and discover our local surf culture. Owned by a famous Colombian born and raised surfer and her suisse partner, you will receive the best advices for beggining with the beautiful sport of surfing or simply carry on your love for it.
It is a sustainable surf camp, which provides accommodation services such as a hostel and a surf school, with a focus on sustainable tourism for those who want to minimize their footprint while enjoying a nice time on the beach, the sea and the waves.
We are located in Colombia, the Caribbean, 7 km from the main entrance of Tayrona National Park, on the traditional fishermen's beach of the Mendihuaca river. The beauty of this place is that it still preserves its traditional forms of fishing and the river mouth ecosystem is still a pool of very clean natural water.
Everything is built in reforested pine wood from Colombia, respecting the wide spaces for everyone's comfort, we do not handle air conditioning, since we focus on efficient air circulation and this has guaranteed that all spaces manage a comfortable temperature. All rooms have balconies, some with ocean views and others with jungle views. The main theme of art are elements created by the muralist @laplagainvade from Medellín that decorate most of the spaces of Mendihuaca Surf.
Come and relax after practice in our environmentally friendly hostel, with either sea or jungle view!!
Mendihuaca Surf Camp Policy and Condition:
Cancellation Policy: 1 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 14.00 to 17.00
Check out before 08.00 to 11.00
Payment upon arrival by cash, credit and debit card ( payments with card have +5%)

Hostel on the beach?!?! Ur kidding me too good to be true. I rated the eco toilets tbh. Needs maybe some more hammocks.

Easily one of my favourite places out of 4 months in South America. You can tell Kevin and Monica really love what they do, it doesn’t feel like they are hosts but rather friends who help you out during your stay. Great vibes and the hostel itself is really cool, the boards they rent are all good quality and generally all in the same style so there’s enough for everyone. Even if you don’t surf this is a great place to come and enjoy the beach, loads of restaurants around and there is a lady selling tamales

Firstly, what a wonderful hostel! A highlight of my stay in Colombia. I really could live here.
Thank you to all of the staff that made my stay perfect. Lola and Cintia were extremely helpful.
The hostel is brand new and looks fantastic. There is clearly an eco friendly ethos, with nice wooden compostable loos.
The beach has a really relaxed vibe, with nice restaurants. Belaonde cafe was a favourite of mine.
The beach is very long in both directions so you can have a nice walk. The water was often a clear
