Hostel felt very empty, dirty and somehow unsafe. Although it was a very good price, you get what you pay for and nothing more. 35 minute walk to New Manali (Mall Rd) is fine on the way down but takes longer on the way back up. As all taxis are part of the local union, getting taxis around becomes very expensive so expect to pay at least 500 rupee to reach the hostel from town.
