Republika Beach Hostel

Republika Hostel (Apo and Selinog rooms) recently opened its doors in July 2023. It is located metres from the ocean, a laid back beach bar (@Republika Beach Bar) and a dive centre (@Siquijor Divers Centre) that caters to all levels of dive experience. The rooms are light and bright with ceiling and wall fans (no aircon) and open onto a leafy, secluded courtyard (no passing traffic). It's prefect for relaxing and using as a base for exploring the island - marine sanctuaries and waterfalls are among the many sites of interest close by. Republika Beach Bar (20m away) is a very laid back local bar that opens from 7.30AM - 9PM and serves competitively priced Filipino, vegetarian and vegan dishes. There is an open grill for guests in the courtyard for in-house cooking.

The grounds which also include 4 airbnb rooms have parking for motorbikes, hammocks dotted about, a small sandy beach, a dartboard, small collection of books and a chess set at the bar. There is a reef 20m offshore where it is common to see turtles feeding at sunset. The property faces west therefore the sunsets can be incredible with the views out to the famous diving spot of Apo island 25km offshore.

It's perfect for groups or individuals wanting to meet other travellers, it's very chill. Enjoy.
