Welcome to Darna, your home away from home! In Arabic, Darna means our home, and we, Duaa and Dalia, cousins from Jordan, are thrilled to host you at our cozy hostel located in the heart of Amman, in the vibrant neighborhood of Jabal Al-lwebdah.
Jabal Al-lwebdah is a popular area known for its fusion of western and eastern vibes. At Darna, you'll be just a stone's throw away from Paris Square, where you can indulge in a wide array of cafes, restaurants, bars, live music, and supermarkets. From our doorstep, you can reach downtown Amman in just 8 minutes on foot, allowing you to explore attractions such as the Roman Theater, Hussainy Mosque, and the famous Falafel restaurant Hashem!
Our cozy hostel features three bedrooms, a welcoming indoor common area with a fantastic city view, a breathtaking rooftop terrace overlooking the Amman Citadel, and a cozy dining room.
Whether you're a solo traveler or not, Darna provides a safe and enjoyable environment. Both of us have extensive experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and we offer Arabic classes and opportunities to immerse yourself in Jordanian culture. Join our monthly cultural workshops, including calligraphy, embroidery, Oud music, and cooking classes.
For those in need of a quiet co-working space, we have partnered with a nearby workspace where you can access a desk and get your work done free of charge.

This hostel is the true embodiment of a home away from the home concept, and the staff goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable. I extended my stay multiple times as I did not feel like leaving this place.
In addition, both hosts are welcoming and willing to help you in any way possible to make your stay comfortable.

One of my most beautiful stays @hostels ever!
Unique experience - Authentic Jordanian place with a history all around the rooms and corners, would never completed without generosity as I saw during one short night by the host! Thanks ðŸ™ðŸ¼
The rooftop is just stunning!
Wish you all the best, would definitely come back to enjoy the place and its atmosphere again and again.
Location is perfect btw.

I loved my stay at the hostel! Originally, I planned to only stay for a few nights, but then I extended by stay for another week because it was such a nice vibe. Duaa and Dalia are awesome and the hostel is in a perfect location, close to many cute coffee shops & bars and also walking distance to downtown. I also felt the hostel was in a safe location, I wasn't worried walking alone at night (as a solo woman).
The beds were also very comfortable and everything felt clean and safe, 10/10 recommend to anyon
