La casa de Barro is an Eco Hostel, built with recycled materials from the city of Puerto Natales.
Located in Puerto Natales, Magallanes region, 2 hours from Torres del Paine National Park, where you can stay and get to know the area and coordinate your treks to Torres del Paine and surrounding areas in Chilean Patagonia and Argentina.
The house has 2 rooms with 12 and 14 beds respectively bunk beds, each one with light and plug, the spaces inside the facility are shared.
We have high Speed internet satelital conection
We have transfer service to the airport and bus terminal.

Cancellation Policy: 3 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

I don’t understand the high rating with this hostel. It’s very far from the main town (20/30 min walk), they have strict rules with kitchen use and showers switch off a 10 which is ridiculous given most people staying are doing hikes all day. we came back at 10 both evenings and couldn’t shower after a long day of hiking. I like the concept of the hostel as it is sustainable and built with recycled material but the rooms smelt like mud and all you get is a sleeping bag and itchy blanket to sleep

One of the worst hostels I’ve been to
- no heating
- no real beds with sheets - instead they just give you a sleeping bag
- showers not hot - luke warm at best
- terrible location far away from everything
