Hi, Welcome to ART village. ART stands for Adaptive Rural Tourism and we operate with a motto of giving back to the community and environment.
Our Campus at Naggar is located inside a remote Village of Chichogi 4km uphill from Naggar. Housed in a 100 year old traditional Kathkuni house, within which we have crafted 4 boutique rooms and a backpacker dorm, using locally sourced materials and skills. The accommodation is complete with all comfort amenities and best in class design and functionality. We are surrounded by forests on one side and villages houses and culture on the other. This is an ideal place to witness the raw beauty of Kulu culture, festivals, architecture, crafts and practices.
The dorm beds are designed with privacy and personal space in mind. Each bed has its own storage cabinet and personal reading lamp. The building is restored using 90% recycled and locally sourced materials. We have also utilised the vernacular architectural form of this Himalayan region called Kathkuni to create this space. The co-creation of this space has involved local crafts, materials, skills and knowledge in every aspect of the guest experience, including lifestyle, cuisine, sustainability and functionality of the space. Making this an ideal environmentally and socially conscious staying experience.
This is not just a stay, but our mission for us to revolutionise the culture, lifestyle and tourism in remote Himalayan villages towards a better-experience-for-all and sustainability. You, our young and dynamic backpackers are not just guests but our ambassadors and 'Shepherds' who would lead us into a better future of socially/environmentally conscious consumption.

No smoking inside the dorm.
Food is served only in the dining area. Do not bring food plates to the dorm.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene inside the dorm and washroom.
No shoes inside the dorm room.
Cancellation policy: 72h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 12:00 to 18:00 .
Check out from 08:00 to 11:00 .
Payment upon arrival by cash.
