Calcutta Backpackers offers both dormitory and private room options for travelers who want to experience Kolkata in a cozy and comfortable way. The dormitories are spacious and well-ventilated, with natural lights, bunk beds, lockers, reading lights, and power sockets. The private rooms are cozy and elegant, with king size beds, air-conditioning, and attached bathrooms. Both types of rooms have access to the common areas, such as the lounge, the kitchen, the terrace, and the garden. The host also provides clean linens, towels, toiletries, and housekeeping services. The hostel charges reasonable rates for both types of accommodation and offers discounts for longer stays. Guest access The hostel has a lounge, a kitchen, a terrace, a workspace, and a garden for guests to use. You can relax, socialize, cook, read, or work in these common areas.

House Rules:
1. Booking and Payment
- You can make a booking through the Website by selecting the dates, room type, number of guests and any optional extras. You will then be asked to provide your personal and payment details to confirm the booking.
- The booking is not guaranteed until you receive a confirmation email from the Hostel with a booking reference number. You should print or save this email for your records.
- The total price of your booking will be shown on the Website before you confirm the booking. This price includes taxes and any applicable fees. You will be charged the full amount at the time of booking.
- You can pay by credit card, debit card or PayPal. The Hostel accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Your payment will be processed by a secure third-party payment provider.
- If you wish to modify or cancel your booking, you should contact the Hostel directly by email or phone. The Hostel's contact details are provided in the confirmation email and on the Website.
- The Hostel reserves the right to cancel your booking in case of any error, fraud, breach of these Terms or force majeure event. In such cases, you will be notified by email and refunded the full amount paid.
- Access to Swimming pool and Gym/Fitness center is subject to availability and charged additionally, please check with the hostel before arrival.

2. Check-in and Check-out
- You must be at least 18 years old to stay at the Hostel. You must present a valid photo identification (such as passport, national ID card or driver's license) at the time of check-in. The Hostel may refuse admission to anyone who fails to provide such identification or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Check-in time is from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm local time. If you arrive earlier, you can store your luggage at the Hostel for free, subject to availability. If you arrive later than 10:00 pm, you should inform the Hostel in advance by email or phone.
- Check-out time is by 11:00 am local time. You must vacate your room and return your key card to the reception by this time. If you check out later than 11:00 am, you may be charged an extra night's fee.
- You can store your luggage at the Hostel after check-out for free until 6:00 pm local time, subject to availability.

3. Room Allocation and Occupancy
- The Hostel offers private rooms and shared dormitories with different capacities and facilities. You can choose your preferred room type and number of beds on the Website, subject to availability.
- The Hostel will try to accommodate your preferences, but cannot guarantee that you will be allocated to a specific room or bed. The Hostel reserves the right to change your room allocation at any time for operational or safety reasons.
- You are not allowed to exceed the maximum occupancy of your room or bed. If you do so, you may be asked to leave the Hostel without refund or pay an additional fee.
- You are not allowed to sublet or resell your room or bed to another person without the Hostel's prior written consent.

4. Conduct and Behaviour
- You are expected to respect other guests, staff and property of the Hostel at all times. You should not cause any disturbance, nuisance, damage or harm to anyone or anything in or around the Hostel.
- You are responsible for keeping your room and common areas clean and tidy. You should not leave any personal belongings or rubbish in these areas. You should report any damage or malfunction of any equipment or facility to the staff immediately.
- You are not allowed to bring any illegal substances, weapons, explosives, flammable materials or pets into the Hostel. You are also not allowed to smoke, drink alcohol or use drugs in any non-designated areas of the Hostel.
- The Hostel has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of violence, harassment, discrimination or abuse towards anyone in or around the Hostel. Any such behaviour will result in immediate eviction from the Hostel without refund and possible legal action.
- The Hostel reserves the right to refuse service or entry to anyone who violates these Terms or who poses a risk to the safety or comfort of other guests or staff.

5. Liability and Disclaimer
- The Hostel is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, illness, death or expense arising from any event beyond its control, such as natural disasters, wars, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, pandemics or public health emergencies.
- The Hostel is not liable for any loss, damage or theft of your personal belongings or valuables in or around the Hostel. You should use the lockers or safes provided by the Hostel to store your items securely. You should also obtain adequate travel insurance to cover any potential losses or damages.
- The Hostel is not liable for any errors, omissions, inaccuracies or misrepresentations on the Website or in any other communication with you. The Hostel may update, change or modify the Website or these Terms at any time without prior notice.
- The Hostel does not guarantee that the Website or its services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or virus-free. You use the Website and its services at your own risk and discretion.

6. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your booking shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, India.
- If you have any complaint or feedback about your stay at the Hostel, you should contact the Hostel manager by email or phone as soon as possible. The Hostel will try to resolve your issue amicably and promptly.
