El Patio Hostel Tropical is an accommodation that fuses architecture with local nature. In the shade of a large rubber tree, palms and bananas are the common spaces for rest and recreation.
Our establishment has private rooms and shared rooms, with a large kitchen around a palm tree that is more than 15 years old, Wi-Fi service, drinking water dispenser, shared bathrooms, rental of surfboards, paddle surfboards and snorkeling equipment.
It is located in the center of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, a small town in Banderas Bay, between Puerto Vallarta and Punta Mita, characterized by its tranquility and silence, ideal for taking a break from the big cities.
It is located just 400 meters from the beach and the Marina, the Mercado de Mar where you can buy a variety of fresh fish and La Cruz Market, an arts, crafts and local food market that takes place every Sunday on the sea coast. In the area there is a variety of gastronomic offerings and local shops.

I stayed in a private room. The room was clean and the sheets were very soft. The outdoor space is amazing! I loved relaxing in the hammock under the canopy of the mature trees. The location of the hostel is good. It’s close to restaurants, stores, the beach, and marina. There’s not a whole lot to do in this small town but it’s a nice place to wind down and relax. The staff were very friendly. My only suggestion is that the showers need a good cleaning.

I had an excellent stay at El Patio. The accomodation was always clean and tidy with all the amenities you can expect from a hostel. The decor is awesome, especially in the courtyard area where the canopy of trees lays.
Plenty of showers with hot water and good water pressure, plus great kitchen facilities. Beds are super comfy with private light and charging ports. Great spacious lockers too.
I really recommend staying here if you are in the area for a few days. You'll have a wonderful time!

Amazing place in an amazing town! quieter town outside Vallarta but still has everyone you need and want. Ended out coming back 2 weeks later
