Welcome to Cabañas Balamjuyuc Ecohostel.
Balamjuyuc where the sun and the moon meet at Punta Cometa, your home in paradise, beach, sun and an impressive view of the Pacific Ocean.
it is a hostel with an impressive view of the sea, which offers its visitors 5 cabins and a shared family kitchen, in the middle of a tropical garden made up of some two hundred plants.
Conceived under an ecological concept, in order to preserve the environment, we use the maximum of natural resources for our operation, such as solar energy to illuminate both the cabins and the exterior of the facilities, the use of collective toilets and the recovery of water to irrigate the plants.
All the rooms are built and decorated with natural materials, the roofs are palm and large windows, protected with mosquito nets that allow the entry of the sea breeze.
It is this ecological balance that gives our visitors a feeling of total integration with the place and in perfect harmony with nature.

The facilities are very rustic, but the view from my room was incredible. The owner is not very nice, he didn’t want to change the sheets even when they were dirty. It was a white spot, the owner told me it was probably an animal poop, but the said it was very late at night to change the sheets (it was 10 pm). He said if we were not happy we could leave, at the end he offered a different room.

The location and the view of the beach is unmatched but the lack of care of the owners is apparent. The 'showers' and toilet area were covered in dirt. I was told I was not allowed to use the kitchen, despite the listing. Mosquito nets are good, but with the amount of insects I still woke covered in bites. What shocked me most is that their description details how you paying to stay contributes to local conservation, but the owner used my first night to buy beers. Very uncomfortable all round.

En un inicio, habÃa reservado 2 noches, pero me fui en la primera. No hay muchas opciones en Mazunte, asà que opté por probar suerte con este lugar. Horrible. Me arrepiento. Una vez que sales del cuarto; ya no puedes cerrar la puerta, puesto que no tiene chapa, solo se cierra por dentro. El baño está fuera de la habitación como a unos 15 metros y en muy malas condiciones. Hay insectos por todos lados, no tiene ventiladores, fuera de la vista, no lo recomendarÃa NUNCA.
