Welcome to Nomads Queenstown - a multi-award winning hostel overlooking the snowcapped mountains and right on the shores of beautiful Lake Wakapitu.
Whether you are travelling solo, as part of a couple or a group, our huge range of rooms will definitely cover what you need! From hotel style king rooms, to more social shared spaces - all with access to our beautiful kitchen, movie room and lounge - complete with roaring fireplace!
Our friendly reception team will take care of all your needs during your stay, and if you want to go exploring Queenstown or….anywhere…our travel gurus can sort out your trip of a lifetime!
As we are located in the heart of Queenstown one side of our property backs onto a popular social street (Searle Lane). Due to this we do experience noise from local bars especially over the weekend so please contact us directly via email if you are a lighter sleeper and we will do our best to allocate you to a room on the Church Street side of our property.
We also have free ear plugs available at our 24 hour reception if required so please don't hesitate to ask our friendly reception team for these.

Horrible location if you want to get any sleep. Walls are paper thin which means you’ll hear the clubs next door until they close at 4am. This is not just a little noise, you can literally feel the vibrations from the ridiculously loud music. Also, there was hair in the shower and toe nail clippings in the bathroom when we arrived. Pretty gross. To top it all off, there wasn’t even a sign anywhere in the room or at check in to warn you not to drink the tap water which is currently contaminated.

A great hostel experience ! The place is very cosy and comfortable. There are events every night to keep you socialising and having alot of fun ! The views are amazing from the balcony. Special mention to Imogen who was always lovely and helpful .
