Lake Como Hostel La Primula is located 50 meters from the Lake shore.
Staying at Lake Como Hostel, you will live the true Lake Como experience and enjoy breathtaking views from the rooms and the (indoor and outdoor) common spaces.
Lake Como Hostel is home to 13 bedrooms, both dormitories and private rooms with ensuite bathroom. Housekeeping is complied daily and free Wi-Fi is available in the common spaces and in the rooms.
The Hostel also features a Lake-view Bar and Restaurant, the Hosteria de Menas where you will enjoy a lively atmosphere, affordable drinks, local specialities, Italian classics and gourmet burgers. (closed in winter)
Rental services are also available (bikes, kayaks).
On the other side of the road, there is a public beach. The ferry dock and the town centre are just a few minutes away.
Menaggio (Middle-Lake), where the hostel is located, is a strategic starting point to explore Lake Como, including by public transports. The Hostel multilingual staff will be happy to share plenty of information and advice on hiking and sightseeing.
The Hostel organises cooking classes and, through its local partners, can help you book Italian language, sailing and rock climbing courses, guided bike or hiking tours etc.

EVERYDAY : 3pm - 10pm
For arrivals beyond these hours, we can try to arrange a check-in ONLY prior phone call agreement.
Guests who arrive beyond the check-in hours without previous agreement, will be considered as no show.
SNACK BAR (with Pizza, Lasagna and more) TIMETABLE:
EVERYDAY : 3pm - 10pm
• FREE CANCELLATION until 5 days prior arrival (except for non refundable fees)
• In case of LATE CANCELLATION (less than 5 days before arrival), the amount due for the 1st night is charged as late cancellation fee
• In case of NO SHOW (and cancellation of a non refundable booking), the full amount of the stay is charged.

Rooms are SO hot with no AC. Loud music goes on directly out of your window until late each night. No kitchen facilities- you can eat at their restaurant, where the food is okay priced, but there’s a €1.50 service charge per person each time you eat there so it adds up quickly. The rooms are clean enough but the bathroom & shower is so dirty. There was no bin in the female toilet and often no toilet roll.
The location is great, right on the lake. But other than that, it’s pretty poor :(

Okay so the location is beyond awesome (by the bus and the ferry and the lake) and the staff is so nice. But there’s a bar downstairs playing musical loud until midnight so if you want quiet it’s not for you. The lock boxes are useless, you can take almost anything out even with a lock on. And they do clean daily but somehow its still always dirty. The showers also suck. But, if you don’t mind roughing it, you really can’t beat the views and also cheap meals!
